Ok, so in the morning, Lisa got a text from her dad saying that her mom had breast cancer. So we called her mom and talked for a bit and were encouraged that the doctors were very upbeat and confident that it was very treatable.
Then, in the afternoon, we went to a Filipino grocery story to buy some food and fun snacks. And boy, were there TONS of options! It was so fun seeing an entire aisle of cookie options, another aisle of crackers, another of soy sauce, another of muffins, etc. And so many were different than anything we had seen anywhere else! So while we were tempted to throw one of everything in the cart, we wouldn’t have been able to eat it all before our flight out the next day. So we picked a few…and were a bit surprised by at least one of the packages…
