Lost Episode #21 – Mos Espa, Canyon, Luke Skywalker’s House

When our new friends in Greece told us that parts of Star Wars were filmed in Tunisia and that you could walk around the sets, Peter was pumped to go see them! First, we stopped by Mos Espa, rode some camels in the desert, drove out to “Lars Homestead” (the exterior of Luke’s house – where I would have loved to fly my drone out to get a better view of the hut, but the gimbal on my drone was broken, so I didn’t). Then we continued on to Matmata, where got a short tour of a local berber museum, and stayed at Hotel Sidi Idriss for the night (we do NOT recommend staying here – if you plan to visit, please arrive way before dark, so you can get back to the coastal area to spend the night at a different hotel).
