Smile, and the world smiles back at you.

After making our PB&J sandwiches on green bread, we pulled 1 million Indonesian rupiah (about $60) from an ATM, and got picked up by our driver for the day that we hired via Uber Trip.

Our driver took us to Borobudur Temple – the largest Buddhist temple in the world and Prambanan Temple – the largest Hindu temple in southeast Asia. When we were close, he tried to take us to an agent to buy tickets (probably so he could get a kick back and try to sell us on a guided tour package), but we told him we didn’t want that and asked him to just drive us to the gate so we can just get our tickets directly there…which eventually he did. Tickets were $40/person to see both temples, or $25/person for each temple if you only want to go to one. And our Uber Trip charges were only $30.29 to have a driver for the day.

NOTE: Make sure you wear pants if you visit these temples! If you don’t, you’ll need to rent or buy something to wrap around your waist to cover your legs.

As we explored the temples, several people asked to take a selfie with us – so fun. After exploring both temples, we headed back to our hotel, tried some more fun treats, then Lisa stayed in (because she was feeling sick) while Peter went out to get pictures of some fun pedal cars with lights in a nearby park – Kidul Plaza Yogyakarta.
