El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
After Lisa got an update from her mom about her cancer, we checked out of our hotel and got a van ride up to El Nido (for $25.29).
During our ride from Puerto Princesa up to El Nido, we met a couple from Uruguay that invited us to come stay with us if we came to visit, so we swapped contact info and said we would! Thanks! It’s always so fun connecting with fellow travelers.
After checking into our hotel – Urbanview @ BNKY Bed & Breakfast Palawan by RedDoorz (~$30/night), we went out to book a island hopping tour. After some searching, we found that nearly everyone sold the same tour packages – Tour A, B, and C. And based on asking and some research, tour C was the most popular/favorite. After checking out several options, we decided to book Tour C through Tarawis Elnido Island Tours for $58.05 (for both of us).
After booking our tour, we walked around a bit more, got to see a team playing basketball outside and enjoyed a stroll along the beach at sunset. The sand on the beach felt amazing…and we didn’t see any sea urchins to worry about stepping on. And the vibe seemed calmer than Krabi Thailand. So we dubbed this town our FAVORITE beach town in the world.
