If you think retail is hectic where you live, come to Asia. 😆

While breakfast wasn’t included at our hotel, it was only an extra $1, so we ordered and ate right outside our room. One thing they brought to go with our rice was banana ketchup – it actually tasted good! Lisa also shared that having a tiny pair of scissors from a sewing kit came in super handy opening food packaging in Asia – because things were not always perforated to tear easily.

After breakfast, we watched our church service from Colorado, then went out and explored Cebu. A couple of our favorite spots were Magellan’s Cross and Fort San Pedro – where we got to see part of a wedding. We finished by going to the ferry terminal to scope out pricing for getting over to Bohol to see the Chocolate Hills.

On the way back to our hotel, we stopped by the grocery store for more food and got to see what a Sunday shopping day looks like for locals – carts loaded with goods and lots of busy clerks zapping Star Wars-sounding scanners at the checkout lanes. It was chaotic, noisy, and fun.
