Egg Coffee? ☕️
Time for a coffee date! We went for a walk to find a coffee shop that one of our tour guides had recommended…and tried a couple more. First, we got a coconut coffee from Cong Cafe, picked up a fried banana pastry from a street vendor, then tried our first egg coffee at Han Coffee – it was soooo good! Lisa was really nervous to try it but was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted – “like birthday cake ice cream”. Or like a “melted marshmallow”. Last, but certainly not least, we tried a third coffee at Hanoi’s #1 rated coffee shop (on TripAdvisor and Google) – Cafe Giang– where we got egg coffee with cinnamon – SOOOO GOOD! 👍 This last one was definitely our favorite. And all 3 cups of fancy coffee only cost us $5.25! Incredible!
On our way back to our hotel, we stopped at a grocery store to pick up some snacks and groceries for our trip to Sa Pa.
