Quick Tour of Auckland
We only took 3 hours to explore Auckland, but felt like we covered it decently well. After stopping by several sites and walking through some parks, we ended with a nice overlook at One Tree Hill.
After we finished, we met up with our Airbnb hosts – who were awesome! We had asked 5 Airbnb hosts to do wifi speed tests and picked the one with the fastest wifi 🙂 The couple we stayed with was amazing and we enjoyed getting some work done and trying some kimchi.
In total, we ended up spending $2,269 USD to explore New Zealand for 2 weeks (including flights, lodging, transportation, food, and tours). Our rental car was $433.93 and gas was another $441.89, and we drove 4,057 kilometers. Fun fact: our SmartFuel card saved us $15.71 on gas.Â
