French Castles (aka Châteaux)
We tried to see Château Royal d’Amboise, Château de Chenonceau, Château de Chaumont, and Château de Chambord. Out of all of those Château de Chambord is the only one you can see the whole outside of without paying extra (just 4 euros for parking). It is also the largest château in France.
Most of the châteaux were at least 13 euros per person to see. That’s not a bad price, but if we spent 100+ euros (4 châteaux) extra per day, our 1 year world trip would be $37,000+ more! ~ Lisa
