The Best Waffle in the World is in…
This ENTIRE trip, Peter has been looking forward to Belgium waffles. Eight years ago, he came to Belgium as part of an European Union educational trip through Liberty University, and he had THE BEST waffle of his life (up to that point) in Brussels served in a “boat.”
When Ghent wasn’t serving theirs in a boat, he almost wanted to skip it. But because he was able to try both, he can say the BEST waffle is from…(watch the video to find out).
In this video:
- We start our morning in Ghent off with some store-bought Belgian waffles with some peanut butter and chocolate – mmhmm! 😍
- Walk 35 minutes to the train station to Brussels, where we rode our first train in Europe (paid $21.84 for 2 tickets)
- Met up with Rachel (a friend from college who lives in Brussels and also loves traveling) – thanks for letting us stay with you, Rachel and for showing us around!
- Grabbed some sushi for dinner then went to the old town square to see some of the city at night…AND try another Belgian waffle…and declare which city has the best Belgian waffles – Ghent or Brussels (see the end of the video).
