Rome in a Day?

Starting our touring at 1:15PM, we tried to see all the major sites of Rome in a day. My sister had spent a semester abroad in Rome and was able to give us some helpful tips for places to eat and see during our quick visit.

In this video:

  • Lisa was stoked to try some Italian coffee, but had to wrestle with the coffee machine to get her morning sip of joe ☕
  • Picked up a day pass for the Rome metro (cost $18.66 for two day passes)
  • Grabbed some Italian pizza to go from Pizzeria da Simone, then walked to the closest park (Villa Doria Pamphili) to enjoy it.
  • Explored the park, then treated ourselves to some local gelato (from Gelateria S.Pancrazio Caffetteria)
  • Realize that Rome has A LOT of headless statues 😂
  • Visit the Vatican City briefly at dusk (probably our easiest border crossing ever haha)
  • Eat some more gelato (this time from Old Bridge Gelateria)
  • Buy some cheap souvenirs
  • Discover free, sparkling water near the Colosseum
  • Return to our the wonderful Hotel Principe Di Piemonte for dinner (purchased from a grocery store) and a good night’s rest (booked via Expedia for $40.52 for one night)

Fun Fact: We used one of our pictures from tonight for our first ever podcast feature! Check it out here >
