Wow! These roads are narrow!
While it is very scenic, driving the Almalfi coast is pretty stressful. Don’t drive the Almalfi coast yourself! See it another way (unless you really are craving a challenge). Parking is sparse, so you’ll be able to stop and see more if you don’t have to worry about trying to park a car.

- We pick up a sweet Alfa Romeo Giulia rental car from Hertz – thanks Dario for the awesome upgrade! (We paid $44.58 for a 1 day rental.)
- Drove from Pompeii down to Positano, then along the Amalfi coast to Vietri Sul Mare, then back to Pompeii.
- Moved to a different hotel in Pompeii (better location – more walkable), and found some gelato. (We booked 1 night at the Albergo Pace for $51.12 via Expedia.)
