Medieval Charm

What a long day of adventuring! Nuremberg, Colmberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbühl, and down to Munich. Germany’s scenery is really stunning especially along this 350km road they call the “Romantic Road.”

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is amazing, but crowded. We enjoyed Dinkelsbühl the most – a lot less touristy and charming! ~ Lisa

In this video:

  • We check out the old Nazi Party Rally Grounds where Hitler once held many of his rallies in Nuremberg – we even saw what looked like old gun shot holes on the concrete! See the pics below.) History really comes alive when you see this stuff in person.
  • Wrestle to get the drone working again…and finally get a little footage of Colmberg
  • Wander around the beautiful town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, snack on a new German treat called Schneeballen, and visit a Christmas shop
  • Discover Dinkelsbühl, a smaller, less busy town that is nearly just as beautiful and awesome as Rothenburg ob der Tauber (more so if you like a quieter, less crazy town to explore)
  • Finally roll into Munich to meet Miriam and Oliver, friends of Rachel’s (from Nuremberg) who so kind and let us crash at their place for a night – thanks Miriam and Oliver! We had a great time hanging out with you!
